Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I have so many fun things to share today. Mostly because we had a good week with my pumpkin sleeping all night every night, I'm off work today, we're going shopping at Target, and I'm so ready for spring. Good vibes here.

This week we made this Thai beef recipe and it was pretty good. My favorite thing about this recipe is how quick and easy it was. I don't really cook much around here. I get home and just want to play with Lola all night til bed time, so Chuck does most of the cooking. And if I cook, I want it to be really easy. So this was perfect.

While we're on the subject of comfort. Lets talk about the most comfortable undies ever. Chuck found this company around Christmas time, and when we got our first pair, we decided to subscribe monthly. Each month they will automatically send you their "monthly" design at a discounted rate if you subscribe. They're the softest undies I've ever worn. If you use this link, you'll receive 20% off your first order.
Ok, now lets talk Lola Style. I had some Gap cash to spend and of course I'm going to spend it on Lola. We could probably afford for me to stay at home, if I could just cut my Baby Gap spending. We're all kinds of excited for spring over here, as if you couldn't tell by me mentioning it in every post since New Years. Can you even handle these baby skinny jeans in white? I mean, skinny jeans on a baby is ridiculous. And by ridiculous, I mean amazing. Now make them white, and holy smokes. I die. Those hopped into my cart faster then I remember. We also can't wait to receive this adorable tutu and these chambray bloomers that are going to go together with a custom chambray bow Isla Ann Inspirations is making for her! I really can't wait for spring!
Sunday I plan to try my hand at making my own baby food. Lola hasn't had anything but oatmeal yet, and I'm so excited to try some real baby foods. I just got this baby food processor recommended by a friend, and I'm pretty excited to use it. I'm all for making things as easy as possible around here lately. Her first oatmeal was a hit! She was squealing and bouncing up and down. I couldn't feed her fast enough. I just knew she would LOVE to eat.

I've been doing a little bit of shopping for myself because I still can't fit into any of my pre pregnancy jeans. So I recently ordered these jeans in grey from Gap. And they are the stretchiest, softest jeans I've ever owned. I even ordered them in my pre pregnancy size and they fit amazing! Because I only have one pair of jeans that's fit me, I wear leggings every day. And I own like 10 pairs from all over the place. Target, Gap, Charlotte Russe, Forever21, Victoria Secret. They're all see-thru and I have to wear the longest shirts ever to cover my ass. But recently I bought these amazing leggings cause they were on sale and I thought I'd try them out. They're the best leggings I've ever had. So comfy and not see thru at all! And what a great price, right? Ordering more asap.

Lastly, I just started working on Lola's first Easter Basket! Call me crazy, but I'm just too excited to finally have a baby to spoil every holiday! And Easter means Spring really is just around the corner! Told ya I can't wait. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Here's a few from the last week to enjoy. Isn't she so stinkin cute?

The Weekend Update

Our weekend was going to be just staying in hanging out, since all three of us were under the weather. We did a lot of lounging, and I was even able to take a one hour nap in the middle of the day Saturday, thanks to my sweet hubby for holding down the fort while I snoozed some sickness away. We just cuddled and stayed warm Saturday, and then hubs made us a steak and crab leg Valentines dinner!

Sunday we were feeling better, and decided to do a last minute festive little breakfast. We invited my parents over and Lola loved watching us eat donuts in front of her. Not.

Then we had a photoshoot so we can always remember Lo's first Valentines Day. I can't even handle how sweet she looks in this photo. I'm so happy with how it turned out.
My funny Valentine

It's sort of a long running joke about how many pillows we own. I'm a little obsessed with changing out our pillow cases all the time, and there may be threats made every time I buy another pillow or pillow cover. So when Chuck gave me my Valentines Day present, I basically fell over. How adorable are these pillow cases? I just love him

We try and visit Lola's great grandma as many Sunday's as we can. She seriously can put her to sleep in minutes from wide awake to completely passed out. We call it "grandmas touch". And the two of them together make my heart so pure and full.

We finished out the weekend the BEST way. By watching the new episode of The Walking Dead! Anybody else have a heart attack every five seconds last night? Can't handle the suspense! Hope you all had a great cozy Valentine's Weekend! Now bring on spring!!!!!

Valentines Day Favorites

Lola got to have a little Valentines Day play date with some of her friends this passed Sunday. She was feeling under the weather but still had fun (I think). It was so adorable to get some of my girlfriends, and their babies together.

Of course my girl has no clothes on. Just her style.

That's Porter, Lola's happy smiley mcgee future boyfriend.

I'm sharing a few of our favorites since we've been pink, red, and white all February!

It's no secret we have an Old Navy and Baby Gap obsession. Especially for holidays, both stores kill it in the cuteness department for babies. Valentines Day was no exception. I die over this onesie that just looked TOO adorable on my little Valentine. And those leggings, which were probably for Christmas,  but meh, whatever.

Little Critters were mine and my brothers favorite books as kids. And I love that they have holiday Little Critter books. We've been reading this one all February and it is so cute. These other books are too darling for Valentines Day as well.  Llama Llama I Love You, Happy Valentines Day Mouse, and Love From the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
We also LOVE our bows from Isla Ann Inspirations. They are just the cutest, go with every outfit, and are the best prices! She is such a sweetheart always sending us new samples to model. Almost all of Lola's bows you see on her are from her Etsy Shop.

Hope you all have a heart filled week and the Happiest Valentines Day.
Chuck and I have our first dinner date away from Lola this weekend at one of our favorite restaurants on the falls while Nana babysits our girl.
Heart eyes friends! 😍

Four Months

Age: 4 months

Height: 73% 25" tall

Weight: 15 lbs 7 ounces

Clothing size: she wears all 3-6 months everything, but shes probably ready to move up

Diaper size:  2

Eating: she still has five 5.5 ounce bottles in a 24 hour period, we just recently started giving her 6 ounces before bed and she sleeps wonderful. She recently started holding her own bottle randomly. And she just GLARES at anyone eating food. She wants to eat so bad and I can't wait to feed her!

Sleeping: she is a great sleeper. Most nights shes in bed by 8:30pm and doesn't wake up until 7:15am. She's on her own schedule, and loves her sleep like her mama! We do have our hit or miss nights where shes up a couple times. But even then she wakes up, whines a little until one of us goes in, and then shes ALL smiles. Falls right back to sleep if we rock her.
Favorite toys: she likes her new excersaucer, but only for about 10 minutes. she loves Mrs. Owl (is what we call her) and this little duck hand puppet Nana got her for Christmas. She also loves her Vulli Chan Pie Teether. But mostly she just likes to lay down and play on her own making noise and laughing and smiling at us
Loves: Baths! Still absolutely loves bath time. She splashes now, and will play with her little duckies. Making noise seems to be her jam lately. She will talk, squeal, blow raspberries, screech, yell, any kind of noise she can make. But she's always so happy to do it. And she also really loves sitting up propped up in all our pillows in our bedroom. And I think her favorite thing ever is waking up from a nap or in the morning. She is ALL smiles and just SO happy to see you.

The last four months have been so amazing. I can't believe what a beautiful little girl we get to call "ours". She is such a good baby. So many people tell us that too, it's so amazing. She barely ever fusses or cries. Chuck and I both say probably 100 times a day "she's SO cute. Look at her, she is so cute". She started day care yesterday, and of course I was so worried about it. But she did wonderful. But she had the biggest smile ever as soon as I got home!
We are so insanely blessed to have this little pumpkin. I can't wait (but hope it goes slowly) to watch her grow and learn

Happy 4 months pumpkin pie!
